About Margaret Crane
MARGARET CRANE, PHD
Dr. Crane is a post-doctoral fellow at Long Island Behavioral Psychology, who uses strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy to help children thrive. She specializes in helping families of children with anxiety, behavioral, attention, and sleep difficulties. Dr. Crane believes each client is the expert on themselves, and she collaborates with families to tailor evidence-based principles to each client.
Dr. Crane received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. She completed a predoctoral internship at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medicine, and is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Long Island Behavioral Psychology. She has trained at clinics including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Temple University, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Brown University. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Crane conducts research examining methods to increase access to effective treatments for youth mental health. Her research has been funded by the NIMH and has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Crane specializes in:
Cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders (including exposure and response prevention)
Triple P-Positive Parenting Program and other parent training approaches for children with ADHD and behavioral problems
Parenting coaching for child anxiety and OCD (SPACE)
Sleep coaching for children under age 5
